Who actually traded well on our rallies

Evony’s scoreboard ranks points scored. It does not show points given up, so it cannot tell you whether a joiner traded well. Showing up on every rally is a third question. All three get called “they did their job.”

By hand

You can see who was in the rally on the report you opened. You cannot, across dozens of rallies of one type, line up troop share, kill share, what those troops risked if wiped, and whether someone only looks good because a teammate was already dust. That is why the scoreboard wins the argument. It is the only number in the game UI.

What becomes practical

On the team’s rallies of one type, Tactica splits full marches from depleted joins and puts four facts on the full-march table: how often they were full, their share of the troops, their share of the kills, Effectiveness, and Exchange Ratio.

The reading

This table is full marches only, from a real rally series. Full overall near 100% means they held a full march on these joins. It does not sort the trade. Troop % and kill % are not the same ranking: some joiners’ kill share runs ahead of their troop share, and some run behind. Effectiveness is each march’s own return versus what it put at risk — (approximate points scored − points given up) ÷ (points given up if those troops were a total loss). Around zero is break-even. Exchange is kill share divided by points-given-up share, with a range, because it moves when the rest of the roster changes.

Read down Effectiveness, not down who attended. On this table, joiners who were full on every march still land on different sides of break-even. A high Exchange with a very wide range is the other trap: Exchange Ratio is teammate-relative, so it can look strong because someone else joined depleted, even when your own march did not change. Effectiveness is the cost–benefit. Exchange is the share versus the people in those same rallies.

Points scored on a slice are a kill-share estimate. Points given up and the total-loss cost are exact. This table is not the whole event scoreboard, and it is not the dust joins — those are a separate cut. How Effectiveness is calculated.

Why it matters on the next battlefield

The player who was in every rally and the player who traded well are often different names. If you only praise attendance, you will keep calling the march that gives the points back. If you only praise Exchange, you may praise a share that appeared when a teammate’s march was depleted.

Ask who traded well on Effectiveness, not scoreboard points, and who looks good on Exchange Ratio only because someone else’s march was depleted. Then ask for the same lenses on the depleted joins.
