Rein economics

Reinforcements are where mailbox memory lies. People remember who said they were in. The reports show who was actually on the tile, when they left, when they came back, and whether the march that came back was still the same march.

By hand you reconstruct that by opening every defense on that city and comparing the defending side row by row — including nested reins — across time. That is not a reasonable after-action. It is also one of the highest-value things in the library.

Focus

Usually a teammate’s defenses or hits on their city. Sometimes “only the fights where [name] showed up as a rein” as a custom cut.

A defense-sequence landing may already draw incoming, healing, and movement in and out. Use it, then ask the economic questions it does not automatically settle.

Why this used to die as a daydream

A swap of depleted reins for fresh ones is a story that lives between two reports. So is “they came back missing a layer.” Skimming opening screenshots never gets you there. Neither does a scoreboard.

What a good answer looks like

Named people, ordered hits, arrivals and departures as events in the gaps. Layer gaps on a returning march called out as observed, not as motive (“they didn’t care”). Killing and points given up labeled on main vs rein when you asked for that.

Common miss

Treating “they were in voice” as “they were on the report.” The library can only see imported reports. If the main defender’s mailbox was never read, rein stories will be holes. That is coverage, not a moral failing of the reins.
