Who was in the city when it held

People remember who said they were in. The reports show who was actually on the tile, when troops left, when they came back, and whether the march that came back was still the same march.

By hand

You open every defense on that city and compare the defending side, including reins, row by row. A swap of depleted reins for fresh ones lives between two reports. So does “they came back missing a layer.” Skimming opening screenshots never gets there.

What becomes practical

Focus that teammate’s defenses. The sequence is the imported hits in order, with heals and reinforcement movement in the gaps, and each hit labeled with who was primary and which layers were missing.

The reading

These four cards are minutes apart on one city, from reports that were imported. Each card names the incoming rally — mixed, siege, ranged, mixed again — and who was primary inside. Between cards, the timeline marks a heal and troop movement: layers added, troops missing. Each hit also lists missing filler layers by name. Main Effectiveness is on the card, so you can see the trade on that hit without blending the reins into the main.

What you can say from this: who was primary on each hit, which incoming type arrived, which layers were already missing, and that a heal and a troop swap happened in a gap of minutes rather than “sometime in the second hour.” What you cannot say from this picture alone is that one named rein is the reason the city held. Killing and points given up can be ranked on the main versus the reins when you ask for that. A counterfactual — the hold would have failed without this person — is not in the reports.

Why it matters on the next battlefield

The call is who to ask back in, and who left before the next incoming type. That is a movement you can see, or it is a speech. The analysis can see only the reports you read into Tactica. Reports that were never imported are not in the picture, and that is a limit of what was read in, not a verdict on the people who were quiet.

Ask it on yours

Import the battlefield, including that player’s defenses when you have them. Ask for hits on their city. Then ask who entered and left, which reins came back missing layers, and how much of the killing and the points given up sat on the main versus the reins. Family: reinforcements and main vs rein. The picture of the sequence: keep hit-sequence.

Traps and sub-cities can be absent when the main defender is not on a home tile. All Stars scores main-defender city points differently from other battlefields; a points story there needs that caveat. One battlefield at a time.
