Main vs rein

The same player is not one object on a battlefield. They are main on their tile, a rein on someone else’s, sometimes both in the same window. Those jobs have different layers, different stakes, and different “did they do well?” stories.

By hand you sort every report they appear in by whether they were participant zero on defense or a helper — then build two careers. People instead argue about “how X played” as if it were one career.

Focus

One player’s defenses, then “only main” or “only when they were a rein.” Or start at the battlefield and cut “when [name] was main” as a custom subset.

Why this used to die as a daydream

Opening screenshots do not make the split obvious across twenty fights. A player can look like a god on reins (small stake, good trades) and a problem on their own keep (the pile). Or the reverse. Leadership needs both columns.

Questions (any wording)

Split the career

Quality of the help

Their tile

What a good answer looks like

Two piles, labeled. Counts. A measure that is not only “wins.” No merging rein lines into the main without saying so.

Common miss

Saying “look at their defenses” and then arguing as if every row were their keep. Check the post-focus summary: main vs reinforcement is a real cut. Use it.
