Effectiveness (a measure, not a workflow)
Tactica Effectiveness is a cost–benefit number for how troops performed in the fights you are looking at: what they returned relative to what they put at risk.
It is not the in-game scoreboard. The scoreboard shows points scored. It does not show points given up.
Definition (same as the product site)
(approximate points scored − points given up) ÷ (points you would give up if those troops were a total loss)
- Higher is better.
- Around zero is break-even.
- Points given up and the total-loss cost are exact.
- Points scored on a slice are a kill-share estimate.
- Effectiveness is not a reconstruction of the whole scoreboard.
A smaller march that trades well can beat a huge march that scored more points but risked far more. A tiny slice with a flashy number is not automatically more important than a large-stake slice with a slightly worse number.
Exchange Ratio (different lens)
Exchange Ratio is teammate-relative: kill share ÷ points-given-up share. It can move when a dusty teammate joins even if your own march did not change.
The old name “Effectiveness Ratio” is retired. That metric is Exchange Ratio.
If you say “who traded best” without naming a lens, say which one you wanted when the answer comes back.
Use it on a focus
Effectiveness is something you ask after you have a slice — or you name the slice in the same breath.
“Effectiveness of ranged vs mounted on the whole battlefield” is a legal ask and often a mushy one. “Effectiveness of Ranged T12–T14 vs Mounted T1–T4 on her main defenses” is the loop working.
