Effectiveness on the current focus
When
You already have a slice and you want cost–benefit, not scoreboard points. Read Effectiveness first.
Focus
Stay on the slice. Name the troop band or the peer group inside it.
Example asks
- “Effectiveness of Ranged T12–T14 versus Mounted T1–T4 on this defense slice.”
- “Effectiveness by teammate on these ranged rallies, full vs dust.”
- “Why is this small march beating the big one on Effectiveness?”
- “Don’t use Exchange Ratio — I want own-slice cost–benefit.”
What good output looks like
The formula’s pieces visible enough to argue with (what was scored vs given up vs put at risk), higher-is-better stated, and no pretending this is the in-game scoreboard.
Common miss
Asking Effectiveness on the whole battlefield with no band and no side, then reading the number as “our ranged is bad.” Cut to the pile you mean. A high number on a tiny stake is not a build order by itself.
